DescriptionThe sculpture represents one of the purposes of the Fire Training Center-to accomplish a given goal through team work and individual sacrifice. The sculpture is an assembled piece consisting of combined individual parts working together to depict a recognizable form. Kulamanu is translated as a place where birds gather, a coming together, or gathering place. The choice of a bird form was a creative decision by the artist. It was not intended to signify a specific bird or make a statement. Located in the Charles Thurston Fire Training Center courtyard.
